So how many of you feel like a failure when you “work” The Law of Attraction and all that you’ve focused on still doesn’t manifest in your life? Yeah, me, me, me, me, me. It’s been four months, and I’m still having crying breakdowns and little money in the bank. And what about you? Have you lost that weight yet or gotten that promotion? Have you attracted the love of your life?

Sometimes I think that aspects of The Law of Attraction give me more reason to blame myself for a crappy life. I feel more pressure to be a perfectionist and have it all together. Man, everyone can see how much I hate myself because I am not living my dreams. It’s all my fault I’m in this predicament. Does this ring true for any of you?

What I do love about The Law of Attraction is that it gives us our power back and God knows that we haven’t had power over our lives for a long time. Church and religion manipulated our very thoughts; oppression and fear will do that. You mean I can change my life? GOODY! The problem, however, is for those of us who are perfectionists and give it our all and are still coming up short. I give myself an A+ for effort, and a D on the mid-term, and I blame myself for all my misery, which makes me more miserable.

So what does this mean?

It means that the purpose in working The Law of Attraction isn’t to get all the shit you ever wanted. It isn’t to look at what you have attracted or not attracted as a measure of success. As a matter of fact, all that’s a bunch of bull shit. Judging yourself and being hard on yourself will simply take you further away from your true essence. The importance of working The Law of Attraction is that it allows you to have a better life along the way to your destination. There are several aspects of working The Law of Attraction that will help you be happier. Period.

Positive thinking and affirmations will shift your thinking. According to The Law of Attraction this will allow you to attract things in your life that match the energetic vibration of your thoughts. However, it will also allow you to enjoy the present moment. It is hard to be unhappy when you choose to think more positively. So, don’t do it for the future and what you will have. Do it for the NOW. That is all we have anyway. Further, when we think in a more positive way, we will react to any crap that does come our way in a manner that brings us more lightheartedness than heart ache. It is hard to react poorly when we are concentrating in a higher vibrational frequency. And if we do, oh well. Pick yourself up and try try again. We’re in school. We haven’t graduated to guru yet.

Grateful living that embodies the emotion of appreciation will tell the universe that you are abundant and full of wonderful things. This in turn will bring you MORE wonderful things. This is true according to The LOA. Straight up, living with gratitude will humble you and allow you to feel more connected to others. You will find that you will bring much joy to your relationships and they will flourish because people will feel valued. Living with gratitude fills your life with love.

As you start to think about what you do want in your life and work with all your gusto to attract it into your life with all the techniques I’ve talked about or others have shown you, you will come in contact with your passions and your true self. You will begin to focus on your greatest purpose. There is no time that you are closer to your true essence as when you are living your true purpose and expressing your honest self. Be prepared, however. It might not be what you thought it was. Be flexible to discover your truth. It is not an act of becoming that purpose, but in uncovering and revealing that true-self. This is the true beauty.

So, yes. I have been hard on myself for not attracting all that I want in my life yet. I know you are hard on yourself too. We usually are. But blame has no place in working with The Law of Attraction. Working it is not to attract that end desire.

Working The LOA is spiritual, pure and simple. And keep on, keepin on. It’s a way of life.

Namaste.

I just saw a program on PBS with Eckhart Tolle called “Eckhart Tolle: Awakening in the Now”.

Here’s an excerpt:

Working with the Law of Attraction to manifest a different life for myself, I found that what Eckhart Tolle was saying really hit home.  That many people, including myself, are not pleased with the present moment and either complain about it or use it “as a means to an end”.  I need this “now” now to get me to a more important moment.

I know that I am guilty of this and find myself often looking towards a future that I think I’ll like better than what I have and where I am right now.  But does this practice–living in the now–contradict the Law of Attraction? Since I am using the Law of Attraction in my life to create things and situations that I want, am I using the “now” to get to a better future.  A future that doesn’t really exist because the “now” is all we have.

I’ll go farther into what Eckhart Tolle says.  He says that as we look at each moment, we must ask if we can live  in its space (be okay with it).   That to live in the “now”, we must be okay with it whatever it is because it is. Is. Is.  That’s all there is.  Every moment. Now. No. Now. Now. Now.  He also says that we can make a decision to take action.  Or not.  In that now.  He also is a big advocate of getting out of our thoughts that project or live in the past (not that the past  or future exist in reality, but do in our thoughts).

This too, however, is what I am discovering as I use the Law of Attraction.  I set out to manifest a new life for myself, new job, money, health etc…and what I am discovering is that 99.9% of my thoughts are fear based. About the future mostly, but some times I am also beating myself up about the past.   I am finding that to really work the Law of Attraction and to feel the feelings of who I want to be and what I want that I MUST live in the now and let go of that fear and those thoughts about the past and future.  Because the truth of who I want to be and what I want to have IS ALREADY HERE RIGHT NOW!  I already am who I want to be and I already have what I want, I just have to get out of my own way, live in the moment and realize it.  Feel those feelings of who I am and what I have.

Using the Law of Attraction and Eckhart Tolle’s thoughts about the “now” do not contradict each other.  I would describe the process of realizing your desires and who you are as an unfolding that exists in this very moment.  Not a projection of the future.   (Though I would thoroughly admit that when I first started on this journey almost 6 weeks ago that I was projecting into my future wholeheartedly…and was feeling miserable because of it.)

What do you all think about this?

Let’s see.  Rent was due today.  Yesterday I got really sick.  Probably not a coincidence.  Am I worried about money? If I said, “No” , then I’d be a liar.  The point is, I guess, is that I’m trying not to worry.  I am telling myself everyday that my bank account is chock full, I receive and give money easily and that I am a money magnet.  I am also telling myself that I am in perfect health, that all of my body parts work perfectly etc. So, what the f*** is going on?  I can tell myself that all I want but I’m still buying oodles of noodles!  I still had to sleep 17 hours just to feel remotely better,  Maybe I should make this a little clearer to the universe:

I HAVE ENOUGH MONEY SO THAT I CAN DIP MYSELF IN FINE BELGIAN CHOCOLATE AND ROLL AROUND IN IT!

AND

I  FEEL HEALTHY EVERYDAY OF MY LIFE FOR AS LONG AS I LIVE-WHICH BY THE WAY IS GOING TO BE A VERY LONG TIME!

Do you hear me now universe? Or should I get a fucking bull horn and yell it at the top of my lungs from the empire state building?! Yes…I think I’ll do that.

Here’s my point:

I am passionate about this.  I am not joking or kidding or playing at games.  These are the things I want and I want them now.  Not tomorrow.  NOW!

Interesting:

Bryan just called and delved into a story about his massage client who is suffering from a spinal cord injury and can hardly walk.  By hardly I mean that it took Bryan 20 minutes to get him out of bed and to the massage table.  I guess his client was really depressed and asked for advice.  Bryan told him that he’s not in his shoes and its hard for him to tell him what to do to make it all better because he doesn’t know how he feels.  He said the guess that he could tell him was to “be happy now”.

Sounds simple doesn’t it.  Be happy  now.  It’s great advice.  Be happy now. I have to mediate on that one.  I keep waiting to be happy for when I get all these things and when my life will be this way or that.  Be happy now.

Be happy now.  Wise huh?

Well, I’ll  post this one.  I’ll let you all see me in all my fucked up glory.  Amen.
